Sensational Ugandan rapper Fik Fameica has spoken out about the challenges artists face in the country’s music industry.

He said that the industry does not pay enough attention to musicians, especially those who try to be different.
“The industry itself doesn’t pay attention to artists. Whenever you do something different, you are rejected,” Fik Fameica said during his interview on ‘NBS After 5’ show.

He also criticized the lack of support from industry stakeholders. “There is no support in all aspects—financially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually,” he added.
Fik Fameica is one of Uganda’s most popular rappers, known for hit songs like Buligita, Majje, and Omu Bwati.
His comments highlight the struggles many artists face in gaining recognition and financial stability in the competitive music industry.
Many musicians in Uganda have previously spoken about similar challenges, calling for better investment in local talent.
