Singer Joanita Zachariassen, who relocated to Uganda from Denmark, has addressed speculation regarding a fallout with Sheebah Karungi following their 2021 collaboration, “You Lied”

For some time, rumors have circulated that the two artists had a disagreement, allegedly due to Sheebah’s lack of active promotion for the song.

However, Zachariassen recently set the record straight, affirming that Sheebah was fully supportive of the project. She also highlighted the involvement of Sheebah’s then-manager, Jeff Kiwa, in pushing the song forward.

“I always wanted to do a collabo with Sheebah, and at that time, she was with Jeff Kiwa. They liked the idea, and we did the song and the video. She was supportive and pushed the song. I am so grateful for the collaboration, and we are still in touch,” Zachariassen clarified in a press interview.

Despite her appreciation for collaborations, Zachariassen expressed her current focus on establishing her unique sound and growing her fanbase before engaging in further joint projects.

“I will wait on the collabos because I want my sound and voice to be heard. I want to build my fanbase to love my sound before working with other artists. But there are so many talented artists in Uganda,” she added.
