Kadongo Kamu singer Willy Mukabya has taken a turn in his life, embracing the path of ministry and dedicating himself to preaching the word of God.

The celebrated musician revealed that starting a church has been a long-time divine calling, one he is now fully committing to.

Mukabya shared that while he has always served God through his music, he has felt a deep spiritual urge to step into pastoral work.

He described how, over the years, different people have affirmed his anointing, reinforcing his conviction that he was meant to serve from the pulpit.

“I have dedicated myself to serving my God. I initially did it through music, and He has constantly shown me that He wants me to serve Him in words by pastoring His people. At first, I paid no attention, but everywhere I go, people tell me I’m anointed. I did not feel worthy at first, but slowly God kept showing me,” he shared in a recent interview.

Despite his new spiritual journey, Mukabya remains active in his music career and intends to balance both ministries—music and preaching.

He also mentioned that while he is devoted to God’s service, he is still waiting for divine confirmation before making the decision to cut off his dreadlocks.

Interestingly, his journey into ministry started with his 19 children, marking the foundation of his church.
