Eddy Kenzo has addressed concerns regarding the new Copyright Management System, emphasizing that television and radio stations will only be required to pay a reasonable annual fee for using music.

Kenzo clarified that the fees would be affordable, dismissing fears that artists are trying to exploit media houses.
“They will tell you to pay UGX 200,000 for music, unless you’re just selfish,” he said.
He further explained that music distributors will handle the allocation of royalties based on listenership, ensuring a fair system.
He reassured media owners that no one will be expected to make hefty payments, as licensing has always existed and was never costly.
