In a candid statement on the pressures facing artists in Uganda, popular rapper Da Agent revealed a harsh reality about the country’s music industry.

“When you don’t have a hit song in Uganda, you don’t matter to all people despite how connected you may be,” Da Agent stated, shedding light on the significance of hit tracks in maintaining relevance.

Da Agent, a prominent figure in Uganda’s rap scene, has been active for nearly eight years.

Known for his unique and energetic rap style, he has gained a substantial following, with fans captivated by his brand of Hip-Hop.

His consistency and originality have made him a recognizable name, but his comment underscores the competitive nature of the Ugandan music industry, where even well-established artists must continuously produce hits to stay in the limelight.
