Shakib Cham has expressed regret over the harsh remarks he made about his wife, Zari Hassan, following a heated exchange on social media.
This drama unfolded after a private audio conversation in which Shakib criticized Zari was secretly recorded and leaked by a close friend.
The trouble began when Zari blasted Shakib online after he questioned her about hosting Tanzanian superstar and father of her children, Diamond Platnumz, during his visit to South Africa. This sparked a public spat that left both Shakib and Zari in a difficult position.
In a recent interview, Shakib addressed the issue, clarifying that he did not leak the audio. He explained that a friend had called him shortly after Zari’s live video had gone viral, and he was still emotionally charged.
“I was really affected by what I saw… I don’t have many friends who check on me, and when they called, I said a lot out of anger. It wasn’t meant to be like that. I didn’t know I was being recorded,” Shakib said, adding that despite his anger, there were certain things he would not have discussed had he known the conversation was being recorded.

Zari Hassan, on her part, has apologized to Shakib, admitting that her outburst on social media was a result of frustration.
She further clarified that her recent trip to Kampala was meant to reconcile with her husband, acknowledging that airing their issues online was a mistake.
The couple seems to be on the path to reconciliation, with both acknowledging their mistakes and working to resolve their differences privately.
