During her interview on Canada’s Got Talent series where her kids; Esther and Ezekiel put-up a stunning performance, Julie Mutesasira said that her decision to leave Uganda was after she disclosed her ‘gay’ gender identity.

Basing on the fact that gay sexual orientation is horrific in Uganda and Julie having been married to a Pastor, she decided to go and make up a new life for her babies.

“I decided to leave Uganda because I came out. Because of my sexuality being a gay woman in Uganda, and married to a pastor, that’s an abomination,” Julie Mutesasira said.

It should be recalled in 2020, photos of Julie Mutesasira’s wedding with a fellow woman surfaced internet, sparking controversial suggestions around the world but most most especially back here home in Uganda.

Esther and Ezekiel Mutesasira are Ugandan-born brother-sister singing duo whose mom (Julie Mutesasira) got them into singing at a very early age.

Ezekiel loved watching his mom perform and it encouraged him to started singing and performing at church.

The siblings had no formal voice training, but they sing all the time – day and night – everything from pop to R&B, afro-fusion and gospel.

Julie Mutesasira relocated from Uganda to Canada in 2016 after divorcing with pastor Steven Mutesasira.

Esther and Ezekiel were apart from her for five years while she worked to bring them over.

During this time Esther and Ezekiel won East Africa’s Got Talent and this was in 2019.

The family was finally reunited in Canada in December 2021 and this duo would love to make a name for themselves here through their appearance on Canada’s Got Talent.
