News reaching our desk doesn’t sound pleasant at any moment for the ‘New Eagles’ fans and band music subscribers countrywide.
This follows songstress, Irene Namatovu’s failure to pass the adult education exams.
It’s clearly understood that Irene together with her husband Geoffrey Lutaaya were enrolling in the Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences course and sat for the mature entry exams on 15th December 2019.
Since then, the lovely couple has eagerly waited for its results with hopes of passing with high grades together until recently, mid this year when they returned negative on Irene’s docket.
Speaking on NBS Uncut show, Irene opened up on her ruined academic disclosing where she messed-up.
Irene sides with her family responsibilities and music career for interfering her academic success.
This was when she had to throw commitment in her projects submitted for the 2019 All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) nominations and 2020 Grammys.
“Initially I was obsessed with going back to school to enlighten my academic background. Everything in my studies had smoothly moved as planned until I got interferences from my music career and other family responsibilities. This was when I had to submit my music projects for nomination in the AFRIMA awards,” Irene said.
“I summarized the need such that I could embark on my studies but unfortunately, I failed after learning that I had to hand in my projects also in the Grammy Awards,” she added.
This implies, Irene will have to re-set the adult education exams inorder for her to smoothly elevate her thrilling political career.
However, the exams results give green lights to her husband, Geoffrey who is aspiring for the Kakuuto constituency Member of Parliament seat in the 2021 general elections.
