Last Friday was a night to remember as South African rapper Kwesta mash up Ugandan at the “Lock Down” party at the MTN Warehouse along Jinja road.

The party that attracted all the big socialites of Kampala started on the low with few people coming to the venue thanks to the massive Friday Jam. However, by 10pm, the MTN Warehouse was busy.

From drinks making roads from one end of the warehouse to another, gazelles of all kinds to keep the guys busy to the music, the place was lit. This is when the organisers of The Lock Down Ug ushered in young talent with Truth 256 killing it on stage with his Kiga flow.

As everyone started seeing double, they brought in Mr. So Ug, The Mith himself who worked the crowds to the fullest.

Now the mugenyi mukulu Kwesta himself made his way to the stage in a way only he can. Although most people didn’t understand the lyrics, they jammed to every beat. His guitarist also stole the show at some point showing revelers that paying 50,000shs to enter was almost an insult.

Did we mention the DJ line up? It was awesome and to top it all off, DJ Chapat was the king of the night playing the crowds favourite jams and even joining them on the floor to pull some dance moves to his own music… how awesome.

Enough of the talk, take a look at the moments yourself thanks to MTN Tidal, Johnnie Walker Highball, and Pepsi.
