While she is at the height of her game in the music industry in central Uganda, gracing every show and making money old and new, musician Desire Luzinda was shocked when fans deserted her show in Northern Uganda.
News on our desks indicate that the Ekitone singer was left in tears when only a few of her fans turned up for her Valentine’s Day show in Gulu. According to our sources, the show that started early in the evening had just a handful of fans by 12am. It was taking place at Acholi Inn and was expected to be the biggest show in the area last weekend.
Being the winner that she is, Desire jumped on stage at around 2am and entertained the few fans there were to entertain. “I don’t care about all those people who have not come, I care about you my friends who have come,” she said in a soft voice. “Now let me entertain you until we are all sweating,” she added.
Ever since her nude photos leaked to the public in October last year, Desire Luzinda has achieved key milestones in her music career. Some have said that the nude photos jump started her career which was at the blink of collapse.
The singer has been performing at many shows around the city making a minimum of 3.5 million shillings at each public event and 1 million shillings for private shows. In December last year she was estimated to be making 100 million a month at the height of her success.
Although many claim that she is heavily indebted, the singer has managed to put up a multi-million mansion. She shared photos of her new house with us recently. It is like a palace.
