Having piped Bright Stars last week on Friday at the Ssaza grounds in Mityana with a 1-0 victory, thanks to Steven Bengo’s exquisitely taken penalty in the 17th minute of the game, the 16time record champions will be aiming for top spot when they visit 9th placed Sadolin paints at the Bugembe stadium in Jinja tomorrow.
SC Villa has gradually reduced the point gap to 1 point between them in second place and top placed Vipers Sports Club who will host Bright Stars tomorrow at the Buikwe stadium. With a better a goal difference than Vipers, SC Villa can go top of the table as the first round of the Uganda Premier League (UPL) closes if they beat the ‘Painters’.
As the trend has been, Sam Simbwa will look to the industrious Steven Bengo, Karim Ndugwa and Victor Emenayo to hunt the goals. Villa are 2nd on the table with 32points.
Having held last season’s runners up Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) to a goalless draw last week at the Namboole stadium, Sadolin will have all the motivation to stage a bigger fight when they host the ‘Blues’. Sadolin paints in 9th place have 18 points from 14 games.
