It was a fun-filled day as Mirinda unveiled its new global campaign dubbed “Mess With Your Senses” in Uganda over the weekend.
On Saturday, Mirinda gave the media a feel of what the new campaign is about as they hosted them at Lake Side Adventure Park in Mukono to a day full of fun, adventure and team challenges.
From boat rides, paintball, ring-a-bottle, sack race, hula hoops, shooting games and colour mash-up, individuals were switched on into a playful and experimentation mood.
While unveiling Mirinda’s new look and campaign, Brandon Ssemanda, Head of Marketing, Crown Beverages Limited, the bottlers of PepsiCo soft drinks in Uganda, said that the new campaign is about entrenching the fun attributes of Mirinda among its customers.
“In 2013, we unveiled a thematic campaign dubbed ‘Free Your Fun Side’ which got many Ugandan youth hooked to the brand. Today, I am pleased to announce that Mirinda’s exciting journey continues with the introduction of ‘Mess With Your Senses,’ which will be the new strapline for Mirinda,” Brandon Ssemanda said.
“’Mess With Your Senses’ is all about creating spontaneous bursts of fun to wake up our senses. It is geared towards entrenching the fun attributes of Mirinda among its customers. So, we are telling all youth in Uganda to ready their senses for the next offbeat, fruity surprise from Mirinda.” He added.
Following the launch of the new campaign, there will be countrywide activations which will have exciting activities like product sampling, paint ball, colour mash ups, artiste performances and more.
