Uganda Cranes head coach, Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic expects a tough and tight combat when Uganda faces off with Ghana on match day five in the Group E 2015 Morocco AFCON qualifiers. Uganda who lie third on the Group E table will be up again to fight for a slot in Morocco.
“The game against Ghana on 15 November is like a David and Goliath battle where my Uganda team will shock everybody after the game. We are fully aware of the threat Ghana come along with because there are a lot of individual qualities in their team and they are the only country to draw with world champions Germany at the 2014 Fifa World Cup, but we will not be pushovers,” reads a statement on Supersport.com
Uganda picked a point during their visit to Kumasi on the opening day of the campaign after their 1-1 draw thanks to the efforts of the Cranes’ skipper Tonny Mawejje before Ghana’s Andre Ayew leveled from a dubious penalty spot.
Ghana leads the Group E log with 8points, Togo are second with 6points while Uganda lies third at 4points as bottom side Guinea. Uganda has a better goal difference.
