Desire Luzinda is seemingly as equally liable as her Nigerian lover Franklin for the leaked nude pictures. Father Lokodo has even already ordered the arrest of the two on grounds of breaking the anti-pornography law.
Several fans and sympathizers have been consoling and comforting Desire Luzinda over the shameful act that broke the social media boredom a few days ago, but unfortunately the law does not take sides. According to section 13 of the Anti- Pornography Act, Desire Luzinda and her Nigerian boyfriend are both liable to pay a fine not exceeding five hundred currency points or imprisonment not exceeding ten years or both.
Whereas Franklin is charged with publication of pornographic material, Desire Luzinda is charged with being in custody, production and exporting of illicit material.
Section 13 of the Act states that: “A person shall not produce, traffic in, publish, broadcast, procure, import, export, sell or abet any form of pornography.”
It adds: “A person who produces or participates in the production of, or traffics in, publishes, broadcasts, procures, imports, exports or in any way abets pornography contrary to sub section 1 commits an offence and is liable, on conviction, to a fine not exceeding five hundred currency points or imprisonment not exceeding ten years or both.”
Speaking to the media, State minister for Ethics and Integrity Father Simon Lokodo confirmed that Police Officers, on his orders are already on a hunt for both Desire and Franklin.
