Bebe Cool’s participation in the “Tubonga Nawe” campaign that saw President Museveni back in power may have dire consequences for the singer. This is after several fans in Uganda promised not to attend any of his shows for showing his political side without considering some of his fans.
Fans in Dubai who snubbed Radio and Weasel’s concert over the same matter have vowed not to attend Bebe Cool’s shows in Dubai anymore because of his part in making sure that President Museveni returns to power.
Although the singer remains arrogant when asked to talk about the matter saying that his real fans will always show up, Dubai fans have insisted that they will not show up at any of his shows should he show face later this year.
This comes hot on the wheels of a flopped concert of musicians Haruna Mubiru, Angella Kalule and others in the UK recently. Other singers who have been warned include, Catherine Kusasira, Jose Chameleone among others who were paid millions to support the President during his campaign trail recently.
Bebe Cool had a mega concert in Dubai last year where fans turned up in big numbers. To make it more entertaining for them, he turned his sweet wife, Zuena into a stage dancer to the amusement of many.
Will he be welcomed by fans again when he goes to Dubai? Only time will tell!
