Zzina Awards 2020 Recalled For 12th June In An Online Edition

By BigEyeUg Team; The 7th edition of Zzina Awards finally harks back to showcase in a virtual event after the COVID-19 Pandemic hiccups.

The Zzina Awards finale that was originally scheduled for March 27th at MTN Warehouse, Jinja Road only to be postponed owing to the global outbreak of the Corona Virus Pandemic.

The event themed “For the Love of Ugandan Music” will reveal the winners in over 20 Zzina Music Awards categories as voted by the music fans from across the country.

Singer Spice Diana picks up her Zzina accolade last year.

It will run live on the both @GalaxyFm1002 & @mtnug Facebook page on Friday 16th June at 7PM.

You will have the best of entertainment from the comfort of your homes.

In February, the Bazannyi unveiled a full list of contenders for this year’s awards which marked the beginning of the voting process that was conducted solely on their website www.galaxyfm.co.ug

Talent continues to emerge every passing day but this time its a gospel singer. America Arnold os the latest entrant in the gospel music arena as he drops his first single “Elyato”

In Elyato, America Arnold cries for God’s rescuing hand. He repents sin and begs to belong to the chosen. This is only intended to bring salvation to hos audience as he considers himself already born again.

While dropping his song, America said he was called to serve God and he will do it through music.

Elyato was produced by Legend beatz and video by Lenon Mulla of Switch on visuals.

Nasibu Abdul Juma Issack (born 2 October 1989), popularly known by his stage name Diamond Platnumz, is a Tanzanian bongo flava recording artist, actor, dancer, philanthropist and a businessman from Tandale, Dar es Salaam.

Diamond’s achievements out of his music career are remarkable in Africa and he continues to live as a role model of many raising stars and music lovers.

He is the founder and CEO of WCB Wasafi Record Label also a TV Station titled Wasafi Tv & a radio station titled Wasafi Fm.

He has had several hit songs including “Number One” featuring Nigerian artist Davido.

Fatboy starts own online radio ‘Reckless Radio’

Ugandan legendary radio presenter, James Onen aka FatBoy was fired two months ago from Ruparelia Group founded radio station, 88.2 Sanyu FM.

This was after he allegedly planned a sit-down strike at the urban-based radio station over a pay cut.

However, by the look of things now, FatBot bears nothing like regrets of departing from Sanyu FM after it now proves to have been an opener for more opportunities.
