Zuena Kirema, wife to Bebe Cool, has revealed that she had no idea her future husband was the son of a government minister when they first met.
Bebe Cool, born Moses Ssali, is the son of veteran politician Jaberi Bidandi Ssali, who served as a Minister at the time.
But according to Zuena, his political background wasn’t what caught her attention.
In a candid recollection, Zuena shared that she initially paid little attention to Bebe Cool, mostly because of his appearance. “I first declined to give him my number twice,” she said. “He had this rasta look that didn’t appeal to me, and I wasn’t interested.”
However, Bebe Cool’s persistence eventually paid off. Zuena said she decided to give him a chance after noticing how determined he was.
“Surprisingly, the first time we talked, I saw a man with manners. He respected me so much and I saw he’d develop me.”
She added that it wasn’t until much later that she discovered his political ties.
“I didn’t know he was the Minister’s son until I read a newspaper article where Bebe Cool was mentioned as the son,” she said.
Today, the couple is one of Uganda’s most recognizable celebrity families, having weathered numerous challenges over the years to remain together in both love and business.
