Over the weekend, Uganda marked 59 years of independence.

All the country’s institutions celebrated the day in a low-key owing to the Ministry of Health’s Standard of Operations procedures to curbing Covid-19.

Among them is the entertainment industry that celebrated joyously via a virtual concert dubbed ‘Ug At 59 Concert’.

The concert was held under the theme “Together We Will Always Stand” with different artists showcasing their love for Uganda live on stage and revelers watching from comfort of their homes.

One of the top acts of the day, was renowned dancehall musician, Ziza Bafana who is still taking social media by awash because of his performance.

Ziza Bafana first amused the concert viewers as he played notes of Uganda’s National Anthem on Piano.

He continued to steal the show as he paraded goats on stage while performing his popular “Embuzi” song.

“I’m proud to be a Ugandan because am a musician and people can listen to me; their ears are widely open,” Ziza Bafana said during the performance.

The flock of performers of the memorable day also included; Sheebah Karungi, King Saha, Ykee Benda, Irene Ntale, Kenneth Mugabi, among others.
