Ziza Bafana has weighed in on the heated debate surrounding the recently held Coffee Marathon concert, where tensions flared over claims of favoritism toward Diamond Platnumz.

Speaking out in defense of fellow artist Eddy Kenzo, Bafana made it clear where his loyalty lies.
“Eddy Kenzo is a performer compared to Diamond, and you can’t disrespect him,” Bafana said.
“I think you saw what happened. I know Musuuza (Kenzo) too well—I think he was in the tent hearing them hype Diamond… because even Diamond fears Kenzo when it comes to performing.”
Bafana’s remarks follow comments made by Kenzo himself after the event, in which he expressed disappointment over what he saw as the sidelining of local talent in favor of international acts.
Kenzo accused the event organizers of disrespecting Ugandan artists by giving special treatment to Diamond Platnumz.
In his defense of Kenzo, Bafana highlighted the broader issues facing Uganda’s music industry, emphasizing that local performers are capable of matching their international counterparts in talent and stage presence.
“Uganda has her biggest performers that we are proud of, except politics caused some divisions and biased opinions,” Bafana noted. “We just have a few things disturbing our industry, but we have our boys who can match up. Kenzo believes in himself so much, and that’s why he is where he is.”
