Model, presenter and actress, Vimbai Mutinhiri is set to scale greater heights after being chosen to co-host the 9th edition of Big Brother reality television show launch to be held on September 7, The Zimbabwe Mail has learnt.
Vimbai will co-host the launch with IK and the two have a good working relationship as they have achieved the same feat before.
This latest assignment makes Vimbai one of the country’s most decorated presenters, making waves on the continent.
She is host to popular television show Stargist and she was also linked to season two of Nollywood actor Jim Iyke’s controversial reality show JimIyke: Unscripted.She features in the Nokia Lumia 520 campaign along with Nigeria’s Uti Nwachukwu and South Africa’s Lawrence Maleka.
Meanwhile, according to M-Net Africa, the new season will be dubbed Hotshots.
“The new season will be known as Hotshots. This season’s housemates have hidden talents, they adore the spotlight and will let nothing stand in the way of their pursuit of fame and fortune. We work hard to make each season of Big Brother Africa bigger than the last – and we’ve really upped the ante this year.
“Big Brother Hotshots is going to bring viewers exciting innovations, heart-stopping twists and uniquely African glamour, for 91 days. Both fans and housemates are in for some unmissable television,” said M-Net Africa, regional director , Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu.
She added that the housemates would start the game in two ultra-glamorous houses which are built with magic, fun and mischief in mind. For 91 days, they’ll do their best to outshine each other in the hope of convincing Africa that they’re the continent’s biggest hotshots.
The show is produced by Endemol, South Africa,and will be showing on on DStv channels 197 and 198, available on the premium and compact bouquets.
Last year, Zimbabwe was represented by Pokelo Nare and Hakeem Mandaza.
This year’s representatives would be announced at the launch on September 7.
