Zimba Women Summit to empower the African woman

The Zimba Women technology for Business Summit preparations are in high gear.

The annual event which is returning for the second edition aims to empower the African woman by bringing all stakeholders to one platform. According to Sharifah Tumusiime, the CEO Zimba Women, the summit will gather women-owned or women-led Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to generate discussion and exchange on the potential of entrepreneurship promotion and innovation to national and regional competitiveness using Information and Communication Technology tools.

This year’s edition which will be held under theme, “Harnessing opportunities of global trade to empower the African Woman,” will feature activities such as interactive learning sessions, group discussions, workshops, exhibition and interactive meetings that will help participants gain ample information strategies, insights, mentors and perspectives on business.

The keynote speech will  be made by the US Ambassador to Uganda  Deborah R. Malac. Other notable speakers will include Moses Sabiiti, the Country Director of Trademark East Africa, Evelyn Namara the founder of !nnovate Uganda, and officials from Facebook among others.

The Zimba Women technology for Business Summit will be a two-day event hosted at the Sheraton Hotel Kampala  on the 15th and 16th of November.
