Diamond Platnumz’s partner Zari Hassan has agreed to take their daughter, Latifah Dangote, to meet Diamond’s dad, Abdul Juma, months after she was born.
For a long time, the Ugandan socialite was torn about whether or not she should to take Latifah to meet Mr Abdul, considering the old man is not in good terms with Diamond.
Amani newspaper reports that after lengthy consultations with Diamond’s close family, Zari has finally agreed to fulfill Mr Juma’s wish – meeting his granddaughter.
“Zari has agreed to take Latifah to his grandfather Abdul Juma. What has remained unsettled is just the date. Diamond’s dad has welcomed the news and has even made adequate preparations for the big day. He has even dedicated special fellowship for the visit.”
Mr Abdul is also willing to bury the hatchet with his estranged son.
“Diamond’s dad is not bitter. He has already sort out his differences with the singer’s mum. Diamond himself has no problem with the arrangements,” a source told the publication.
Diamond’s mum was unavailable for comment, but his dad was.
“I thank God for this day. They (Zari and Diamond) have agreed to visit me. I am anxiously waiting for them. I can’t wait to see my granddaughter and my daughter-in-law Zari Hassan. I just hear about Zari on media. I have made adequate preparations. I would also want us to hold special prayers,” said Mr Juma.
Diamond and his dad fell out when the singer was six years old after he (Juma) separated with the heavy hitter’s mum.
