George Ssemwanga, brother-in-law of Ugandan and South African-based businesswoman and socialite Zari Hassan, has been arrested amid an ongoing dispute over the estate of the late Ivan Ssemwanga.
The conflict has intensified over the past week, with Zari and her in-laws clashing over the inheritance and management of Ivan Ssemwanga’s business empire.
Hassan, known as “The Bosslady,” is engaged in a bitter feud with her in-laws regarding the distribution of her late husband’s assets to their sons.
The family dispute has involved various accusations and legal actions. Hassan has responded to the accusations by seeking legal redress, which has led to the arrest of some of her in-laws.
Zari has accused her in-laws of causing hardships for her and her sons over the past seven years since her husband’s death.
Despite her ongoing support to her in-laws’ families, she claims that they have continually tried to undermine her and her children.
