Renowned Ugandan businesswoman Zari Hassan, currently based in South Africa, has delivered a strong message to the Slay Queen community, cautioning them against embracing a lifestyle of laziness and dependency on others.

Zari Hassan expressed her disapproval of Slay Queens who choose to live extravagant lives without putting in the necessary effort. She criticized the notion of relying on the hard work of others while enjoying a luxurious lifestyle without contributing to society.

The entrepreneur advised Slay Queens to engage in meaningful work, suggesting unconventional but respectable avenues such as selling charcoal. According to Zari, this allows individuals to maintain a stylish appearance while earning respect for their dedication to hard work.

Drawing from her own life experiences, the self-proclaimed ‘The Boss Lady’ shared that she once set aside the allure of depending on a wealthy spouse for her needs. Instead, she took on roles such as working as a housemaid and in a Sandwich factory while residing in the United Kingdom. Zari emphasized the importance of self-reliance and hard work, encouraging others to pursue their goals actively.

Addressing speculations about her financial status, Zari dismissed claims that her wealth is solely attributed to her late husband, Ivan Ssemwanga. She clarified that their success was a result of joint efforts, describing how they worked together as colleagues to achieve the level of prosperity they currently enjoy.

Zari Hassan’s message resonates as a call for self-sufficiency and the abandonment of a reliance on external sources. Her personal journey serves as a testament to the rewards that come from dedication, hard work, and collaborative efforts in the pursuit of success.
