Socialite and businesswoman Zari Hassan has responded to recent speculation following Diamond Platnumz’s interview with American media personality Angela Yee, where he hinted that not all the children in his care were biologically his.
Last week, Diamond revealed during a podcast appearance that he was aware some of the children he looks after might not be his biologically, as claimed by some women, but stressed that he still takes care of all six as his own.
His comments sparked online chatter, with many bloggers dragging Zari’s children, Tiffah and Nillan, into the discussion.
In a new interview with BigEyeUg correspondent, Zari firmly dismissed the rumors, making it clear that Diamond is indeed the biological father of both Tiffah and Nillan. She accused the media of targeting her children simply because they are Diamond’s firstborn and attract the most public attention.
“He wasn’t speaking about my children. He has other kids, but they point at mine because they have all the attention. If they speak about others, they won’t get the needed traffic. But my children belong to Diamond. I would have taken them to their real father if it weren’t the case,” Zari stated.
Zari went on to explain that if she had any doubts about their paternity, she would not allow them to travel without her due to fears of secret DNA tests. She also clarified her personal history, saying she never went back to her late ex-husband Ivan Ssemwanga after their breakup.
“If I leave, I leave for good; there is no going back to that chapter. Ssemwanga is not Tiffah or Nillan’s father,” she affirmed.
Zari’s comments appear aimed at putting an end to the swirling rumors and protecting her children from the ongoing media frenzy.
