In a heated dispute that began last week, South African-based socialite Zari Hassan has publicly criticized her late husband Ivan Semwanga’s family, known as the Semwangas, accusing them of trying to claim part of his estate meant for his children.
During a live online session, Zari Hassan discussed the ongoing conflicts over the late Ivan Ssemwanga’s property.
She accused her in-laws of greed, fraud, and failing in their responsibilities as relatives.
According to Zari, the disagreements have been a source of significant stress since her husband’s passing.
The Semwangas, in response, have alleged that Zari Hassan unlawfully sold some of the property and stole from Ivan Semwanga while he was ill.
They claim she mishandled his assets and did not act in the best interest of his estate.
Zari has used this situation to highlight the importance of creating inheritance wills well before one’s death.
She also noted that May marked the seventh anniversary of Ivan Ssemwanga’s death.
The late tycoon had three sons with Zari Hassan: Pinto, Raphael, and Quincy.
