Revelers had a memorable time at the 8th edition of the “Power FM Presents” concert held at Watoto Church on Thursday evening. Headlined by gospel singers, Zabuli and D’Reign, revelers who turned up in droves were taken through praise and worship as the singers staged powerful performances punctuated with testimonies.
The concert opened with a performance from Fortune Spice at 7pm as the eagerly waiting crowd jumped to their feet as he performed his hit single, “Making Jesus Famous”. Then came on New Chapter Africa who also had a brief performance, before later paving way for the first main act of the evening, Zabuli.
Zabuli was welcomed on stage with deafening cheers as the already elated crowd got off their seats and prepared to dance. She kicked off her performance with her song, “Ariel” on which she collaborated with Joana. She went on to thrill the crowd with her singles that included, “Mulina”, “Boom”, “Njooga” and “Mwana Wamuloodi” among others.

Mid her performance, she took a breather to share her testimony that saw her breakdown as she revealed that if it had not been for her prayerful mum, she would perhaps have stayed on the course of destruction.
“I was living a life of ‘who cares’ which got me expelled from school in my senior four. My father denounced me, and I had to run away from home which led me to do stupid things,” she said. “But it is out of this brokenness that I met a man called Jesus.”
This was followed by an emotional performance as she invited her mum on stage to perform a song of appreciation to her.
However, the moment did not dampen the crowd’s mood as they welcomed D’Reign with so much enthusiasm after Zabuli left the stage. He fired up the crowd with his energetic performance as he sang his different songs including his monster hit, “Christian Kungfu” among others.
The concert ended a few minutes past 10pm.
