Ugandan rapper Gravity Omutujju faces a setback as YouTube removes his latest song, “Edoboozi Lya Mutuuze,” following a copyright claim from fellow artist Bobi Wine.
The removal of the song, a blow to Gravity Omutujju’s week, came after YouTube received a copyright removal request from Bobi Wine, as revealed by screenshots shared online.
YouTube cited a breach of copyright law, stating that Gravity Omutujju had utilized content from Bobi Wine’s song “Kiwani” without permission, leading to the removal of “Edoboozi Lya Mutuuze” from the platform.
As a consequence, the video is no longer accessible on YouTube, despite having garnered a significant number of views prior to its removal.
The song had sparked mixed reactions from the public due to its alleged direct references to Bobi Wine, further fueled by Gravity Omutujju’s recent tendency to criticize the artist.
Notably, Gravity Omutujju had been openly critical of Bobi Wine for the past month.
In his latest jab, Gravity Omutujju took aim at Bobi Wine, challenging him to build a hospital for the Busabala community, where Bobi Wine reportedly owns extensive land and a beach.
