After a while on trials with South African giants, Orlando Pirates, Yasser Mugerwa has finally penned a three year deal that will keep him in Parktown, Johannesburg until 2018.
Mugerwa who has joined the Buccaneers from Uganda Revenue Authority Football confirmed the move on his Facebook page.
He posted: “I always thought I wanted to play professionally and I always knew that I would have to make a lot of sacrifices. I made sacrifices by leaving Uganda and my family to start a new life. I have made new friends and don’t usually to the old ones. But am doing all this because of having a better future.”
The 21-year-old former Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) midfielder joined Orlando Pirates for an undisclosed fee and will be putting on shirt number 24.
Mugerwa started trials with the Bucs back in June along with compatriot Saidi Kyeyune who failed to impress.
