Bubbly XFM Morning show presenter Siima Sabiti and dynamic “Artrepreneur Kemiyondo Courtinho are set for the battle of their lives tonight.
The self-proclaimed Ugandan co-wives to English actor Idris Elba will be at the center stage of tonight’s Total Gaz Cook Off at Olives Bar & Restaurant where they will compete for a chance to win the title of Kampala Restaurant Week’s Best Chef.
Both Sabiti and Kemiyondo have over the years held on to a friendly rivalry because of their mutual love and adoration for Elba who doubles as a DJ.
Announcing her participation in the Total GAZ Cook off this morning, Kemiyondo bragged that Idris Elba had already declared her winner. “I have a cook off with Kanyindo tonight. Idris told me he likes the way I stir his stir fry. Total Uganda should just hand me the award,” said Kemiyondo.
These cook offs are part of the activations for the 3rd edition of Kampala Restaurant Week which kicked off last week. The Restaurant Week is the largest restaurant showcase in Kampala with over 40 of the city’s best restaurants participating.
According to Marvin Kagoro, the marketing and communications manager, Total Uganda, the promotion will see lucky Total GAZ customers win Kampala Restaurant Week vouchers to dine at any of the participating restaurants.
Kampala Restaurant Week will be wrapped up on 15th July with an awards ceremony at the Sheraton Hotel Kampala where the most outstanding participants and Best Chef in this edition will be recognized.
