• Kifo cha mende: Woman narrates how hubby dumped her after steamy night

“After kifo cha mende styles in bed, Luo man who had married me in a flashy wedding aliniwacha naakaenda kabisaa never to return.”

Janet Atieno has faced numerous hardships in her life. She’s lost at least four pregnancies and has been on medication since childhood.

Doctors had told her she would never be able to have children, but she held onto the hope of becoming a parent someday. Janet suffers from epilepsy and has spent a significant amount of time in and out of hospitals.

A media and IT graduate from Maseno University, where she graduated in 2017, Janet’s condition has caused her immense pain. She has been through several relationships where, upon revealing her epilepsy, her partners would often leave.

Others sought only to exploit her, driven by a disturbing curiosity about what it might be like to be with someone with epilepsy.

“A Luo man married me in a flashy wedding. He said he did not care about my condition, but he later dumped me after witnessing many seizures. On the day he vanished, we had just had steamy sex but unfortunately. I collapsed during his favourite style of kifo cha mende. He could not put up with meanymore,” Atieno recounted, joking how kifo cha mende style nearly became “kifo changu”.

She was left heartbroken five times and lost six pregnancies. It wasn’t until late 2023, after reading about them online, that she decided to visit the herbalists known as Mugwenu Doctors in search of a cure.

“They cleansed me and put me on a strict diet and herbal medicine for two weeks. They cleaned my body and soul, gave me special ingredients to shower with, and the seizures reduced. Within a month, they were all gone, the pain gone,” she explained.

Atieno’s blessings came in doubles. She fell in love with a wealthy Mzungu man who showers her with affection and gifts. In October, she tested positive for pregnancy, and the scans showed four babies. However, the biggest surprise came when she gave birth in early July.

“I delivered five babies; I was shocked. They are all healthy, and I will care for and protect them. I am humbled by Mugwenu Doctors for their help and for healing me from epilepsy. Doctors had said I would never be a parent again, and true to their word, I lost six pregnancies due to epilepsy.

But with Mugwenu Doctors, I am now a parent of five. I have a kind and wealthy husband, and my epilepsy is gone—it’s been ten months since my last episode. Thank you, Mugwenu Doctors,” she concluded.

According to Mugwenu Doctors, epilepsy can be caused by various factors, including being congenital, resulting from an accident or head injury, or even evil powers.
