Reliable information across the globe reveal how the erotic movie “Wolf of wall street” has been banned from showing in public places.

The Wolf of Wall Street’ has been banned or censored in several foreign markets including Uganda. Audiences in certain countries will see a shorter version of “The Wolf of Wall Street” than the three-hour version spooled for American movie-goers.

The Media Council without prior notification or warning forcefully removed the movie from Cineplex Cinema premises yesterday evening at 5pm claiming it was unsuitable for consumption by the general public. Whilst Cineplex have had no option but to comply with the council given the timing of their actions, they maintain that the movie was rated R and as such was only being screened to those 18 years of age and above.

This is not the first time movies or songs have been banned in Uganda because of including explicit content.
