Seyi Shay has apologised for the unguarded comment she made about Wizkid and Drake during an interview with a Jamaican TV station.

Recall that on Sunday, the Irawo singer’s interview with Jamaican TV station surfaced on social media, where she claimed that the smash hit single ‘One Dance’ was originally written by Wizkid.

However, not long after she made that allegation, Wizkid took to Twitter to call her out. “She lied,” he said, adding that she should shut up and not speak about things she has no idea of.

Now Seyi Shay is back apologising for that blunder. “I Love Wiz and I was just trying to defend my bro,” she said, adding, “I stand for African music. I spoke based on ‘hear say’ but I was misinformed.”

Wizkid accepted the apology shortly after. “Love my girl Seyi Shay regardless,” he said.
