A lot of people were not impressed when Wizkid mentioned in a recent interview that he regularly holds free shows for his fans in Nigeria. He also mentioned that he charges the cheap sum of N1000 just to ensure that his fans have a good time.
As a result of his comments, Starboy was labelled a liar as many called him out for what they felt was a blatant lie.
In his defense, Wizkid mentioned that the cheap show he was talking about was Felabration – the concert organized yearly by the Kuti family and he also said he has performed at several free shows held at the New African Shrine in Lagos. Still, this did not stop Nigerians from labeling him a liar.
He took to his Twitter page to react to the news saying his interview was mischievously edited. See his post below:
