Nigerian star WizKid found himself in the wrong side of the law after he was arrested from his Crown Plaza hotel room. The incident is said to have taken place on Saturday afternoon when he was arrested and questioned by the police on allegations that he was caught smoking illegal substances.
Word on the street has it that he was smoking weed. This prompted the hotel’s Front Officer to ask him why he was smoking before the two got into a heated argument attracting security officers who ended up calling the police to arrest him.
Before he was cuffed and driven to Capitol Hill police station where he was questioned, the hotel had already charged him with a Shs 50,000 smoking penalty which he paid with his credit card.
His alleged newly found flame Victoria Kimani however came to his rescue when she followed him to the police station shortly after he had been arrested.
The drama had the Caro singer cancel his 3 pm flight.
