Many Ugandan musicians are school dropouts and among them is Swangz Avenue’s songstress Winnie Nwagi who today revealed the real reason why she didn’t join campus after finishing high school.

While appearing on NTV Uganda’s morning show with Farida Nakazibwe, the Musawo hit maker revealed that she had a lot of misunderstandings with her father that forced her to leave home and it was during this time that she got pregnant and sabotaged her chances of joining campus.

“I used to come back home late because I loved visiting my friends, a thing my dad didn’t like. We engaged in a couple of fights and I later left home and it was during this that time in my form six vacation that I got pregnant and this dealt a huge blow to any possibility of continuing with my studies,” she said.

However, Nwagi has revealed that she loves studies and plans to go back to school to attain a degree.
