Winnie Nwagi Defends Slapping Fans: “I Will Keep Slapping Disrespectful People”

Singer Winnie Nwagi has once again found herself in the spotlight for her aggressive on-stage behavior after a video of her slapping a fan during a performance in Ntungamo went viral. But the fiery songstress is unapologetic — and says she won’t stop anytime soon.

In response to the video, Nwagi admitted to slapping the reveller but denied claims that she kicked him as well. She explained that the clip circulating online was edited to exaggerate the incident.

“That video was edited. It was simply a slap, I didn’t kick him,” she clarified. “I was performing the Batuleke song and there’s that part where I make a kick while dancing, so that person added it to the slap.”

Nwagi defended her actions by claiming the fan was disrespectful and had disrupted her performance.

She also pointed out that such videos often lack context and only capture her reaction, making her appear as the aggressor.

“People only see the reaction and not what caused it,” she said. “But I won’t stop. If you disrespect me while I’m performing, I will slap you.”

This isn’t the first time Nwagi has lashed out at fans during performances, and her bold stance has sparked mixed reactions among the public.

While some criticize her methods, others applaud her for demanding respect and setting boundaries.

With her no-nonsense attitude and unapologetic approach, Winnie Nwagi continues to command the stage — with a slap if necessary.
