His music is being played world over, record labels are fighting to have him signing deals with them, promoters are booking him for shows day and night, clearly Eddy Kenzo is the in thing as we speak. But, being a man, made of flesh and blood, the Big Talent boss popular for his “Sitya Loss” song can only be in one place at a time and do one thing at a time.
News on our desks indicates that the man who staged a great show at Kati Kati grounds recently at his Nice and Lovely sitya loss concert, and followed this up with shows upcountry is in for jail time or loss of property if he doesn’t make good the loss he caused one of his promoters.
According to reliable sources, Henry Babona, a music promoter in Kampala, paid Kenzo to perform at his shows in Nateete and Makindye. He never showed up for any of the shows and now the promoter is demanding for over 4 million shillings.
The promoter asked Kenzo to pay him for all loses incurred when he didn’t turn up for the show, he paid a deaf ear to all requests from Henry. The promoter dragged him to court, but he failed to show up for the court session. The magistrate ruled that he pays 4,100,000shs in damages only for him to defy the order.
Henry has promised to throw the singer in jail should he continue with his “big headed-ness”.
We shall keep you posted.
