Irene Ntale is being accused of snatching a married man after her flirtatious behaviour during a live performance last week.
During her performance at the Comedy Store show at Roza Dymz in Kololo, Ntale got up close and personal with one of the audience members, Moses Seruga, who happens to be married to Shanita Nakafeero.
The incident, which seemed like a typical stage performance to some, has since escalated into a serious domestic issue.
While performing, Ntale picked Seruga from the crowd, danced with him, and even sat on his lap while making flirtatious gestures, including rolling her eyes seductively.
For Ntale, this may have been a routine interaction with her fans, but for Seruga’s wife, Shanita Nakafeero, it crossed a line.
Nakafeero, clearly upset, has accused Ntale of attempting to snatch her husband.
In an interview with the New Vision, Nakafeero expressed her frustration and claimed that Ntale targets wealthy married men during her performances, a behaviour she deems disrespectful and inappropriate.
“I have been seeing Ntale throwing herself at women’s husbands at her shows in different bars. She does this by touching our men inappropriately while singing her love songs, particularly during her performance of ‘Kyolowooza’,” Nakafeero shared.
She went on to describe how this incident made her feel small and disrespected as a wife, as her husband seemingly enjoyed the attention from the singer.
“After seeing her, my husband immediately changed his emotions, closed his eyes, and even touched her back as she sat on his lap,” she added, emphasizing her discomfort with the situation.
Nakafeero also warned that musicians like Ntale often use their fame to manipulate wealthy men, later sending personal assistants to continue the flirtation off-stage. She vowed never to allow her husband to attend Ntale’s performances again.
On the other hand, Moses Seruga has downplayed his wife’s concerns, insisting that he was merely excited to meet his idol. Seruga, who describes himself as Ntale’s “Number One fan,” explained that he was caught up in the moment and had no intentions of pursuing the singer beyond that one dance.
“Irene Ntale is so cute and attractive, and I was thrilled to see her face-to-face for the first time,” Seruga said. He went on to assure his wife that it was all in good fun, and he has no plans of continuing any interactions with the singer.
