In the aftermath of the Zari-Ivan Ssemwanga scandal that saw Don Ivan steal Sharon O from Ronnie Mulindwa, many Ugandans have posed questions. These include those who asked to know what Ugandan celebrities are seeing in witchdoctors. Others like Roger Mugisha even came up with catchy book titles like: “How a rich witch stole my bitch”.
But the bigger question is why Ugandan celebrities are now willing to risk it all and date traditional healers.
It all began off with Leila Kayondo who chose to join the long list of SK Mbuga’s girlfriends. We are not sure whether it was love or not, Leila enjoyed the cruise of a hummer. She even went ahead to have trips in South Africa and in Dubai all catered for my Mbuga, another Ugandan tycoon. Mbuga is the head of the Ugandan sangomas in South Africa. Sangoma means a traditional healer or a witchdoctor. Most Ugandans in South Africa are earning big from the trade. Leila is believed to have won the race that also involved Rema of Gagamel.
Thereafter the biggest sexual scandal of all time came on. Famous big spender, Ivan, Zari’s husband ran off with Sharon O, the girlfriend of Ronnie Mulindwa. Words were exchanged and it was all confirmed that Sharon O was expecting twins assumed to be Ivan Ssemwanga’s children. Ivan Ssemwanga tried to vive Doreen Kabareebe, a Ugandan upcoming model. In this line were a number of female celebrities.
And when it came to Mama Phina, the guy who took his photos was an upcoming artiste with whom she was cheating. In line was Eddy Kenzo and Mathias Walukaaga.
So here are the reasons why Ugandan celebrities are fighting for witchdoctors’ love.
1. Witchdoctors have money
SK.Mbuga is one of the few Ugandans that can afford sleek cars like hummers. Girls like Leila Kayondo want to live the lavish lifestyle they see other celebrities living. They want money to sponsor their music careers, capital to start businesses and they want to be secure financially.
2. Witchdoctors have bad-boy qualities
Don Ivan is one man who can turn you into a punching bag but he will always show his love with actions and not mere bags. Due to their experience in shrines, witchdoctors have those romantic qualities of bad boys that female celebrities look out for.
3. Traditional Healers are tigresses in bed
According to the upcoming artistes that have had bedroom escapades with Mama Phina, all female traditional healers are so great in bed. They have mastered every bedroom style. They can give a man that super sex of a lifetime.
4. Witchdoctors Are Great Psychologists
Since they make their money from deciphering and supplying solutions to the problems of their clients, witchdoctors are great mind-readers. They know how to relieve the stress that celebrities keep facing.
5. Witchdoctors have connections
Traditional healers have a wide circle of friends that can help a celebrity achieve greater levels of fame. Mama Phina keeps meeting a number of high class citizens. This is definitely a great opportunity for celebrities that are looking for great networks and expanding their circles of influence.
6. Witchdoctors are good song-writers
50% of Ugandan music hits were composed by a witchdoctor somewhere. Thus artistes are looking for such a person to infuse a new life into their career. It is believed that if Sharon O stays with Ssemwanga, she will go on to become the best female artiste in Uganda. She will remix Jackie’s song, and release lines like: “I am not a gold digger, nkwagala Ivan sibiino ebya Zari.”
7. Traditional healers have good luck
It is believed that everyone needs some good luck at some point in their lives. For the fame, money and power hungry Ugandan celebrities, only witchdoctors can provide such luck. A witchdoctor helped Zari’s failing music career and she bounced back as a socialite. Eddy Kenzo has released super hits because of his affiliation to a witchdoctor.
