Robert Sentongo

By James Robert Kayindi

Goal poacher Robert Ssentongo will not feature in the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) squad when they host South Africa giants Orlando Pirates on Saturday, 4th April at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.

Ssentongo will be in the stands as the Uganda Cup defending champions, URA entertain the Buccaneers in the return leg of the CAF Confederations Cup as he continues to serve a two match ban.

The development follows the striker’s straight red card booking during his side’s encounter with Madagascar’s ASSM Elgeco Plus in the return leg of the CAF Confederations Cup preliminary stage, a game they managed to win 1-0 with Ssentongo scoring the only goal before being sent off.

The unstoppable striker already missed the first clash as the ‘Tax Collectors’ lost 2-1 to Orlando Pirates in Johannesburg. URA will now have to beat  Orlando Pirates 1-0 or win by  more than two goals  to secure a slot at the next stage of the competition.
