Ugandan rapper Jocelyne Tracey aka Keko who was allegedly spotted at Butabika National Referral Hospital for mental health patients has refused to comment about the rumour. This has left fans wondering whether the rapper was actually at the mental hospital to see a patient or for other reasons.
Rumours have it that Keko who apparently had a mental health condition was moved from an undisclosed place in Bugolobi last week where she exhibited insanity signs. She was then taken to Butabika hospital according to rumours.
The rumours further stated that Keko could have been a victim of substance abuse which let to temporal loss of memory and self before being carried to the mental hospital. Management and close family distanced themselves from the issue and remained tight lipped during her alleged tenure at Butabika.
What is very shocking is that the rapper who was formerly signed to Sony has now refused to comment about the rumours. Despite several questions, Keko has remained silent on the matter about her alleged insanity. The good news is that she is not at Butabika, or has left Butabika and is now in Nairobi for a Coke Studio project.
But why has the “Akello” singer chosen or remain silent about this whole issue? Well, close sources have intimated to us that Keko could have actually visited the mental institution but only for a checkup and to pick medication for an undisclosed disease.
“I am in Nairobi now, all that I am thinking about is Coke Studio and I will not comment about such ****,” she told a reporter. “I don’t know where people are getting this information.”
Keko joins Dr Jose Chameleone and Maurice Kirya as Uganda’s main representatives in this year’s Coke Studio edition. The 9 episode show will start airing soon on NTV Uganda.
Coke Studio showcases and brings together the amazing musical talent on the continent in a unique way, through musical fusion. The show also gives the brand an avenue to recruit, connect with, and bring African artistes together through music. The show emphasizes unity and togetherness and not musicians competing against each other.
