The Ministry of Health has written to the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) and the Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology requesting for the ban of singer Eric Opoka aka EeZzy’s smash hit, ‘Tumbiza Sound’.

According to the letter that this website has glanced at, Ministry of Health is concerned that the message in the song contradicts its call for COVID-19 prevention.

The Ministry claims that the message in the song has caused misinformation among different audiences and subsequently creating complacency among the public.

It is for this reason that the Ministry of Health has reached out to the responsible government bodies to ban the song from airing on all mass media channels so the public is not misled.

It further appeals that going forward all edutainment with health information/messages on COVID-19 passed onto the different media houses are harmonized with the Ministry of Health before they are aired.

EeZzy has responded to the Ministry of Health letter by rallying his fans to make the song go even bigger.

“No words, let’s even make it bigger,” EeZzy tweeted.
