Twice a week, when you say something affectionate, make it funny and original.
Instead of calling her “hun,” try “hot tamale.” She’ll giggle—and pull you closer.
Other ideas: “I fell in love with your mind but fell in bed with your body.” Or maybe just “I love listening to you” if she’s sharing the events of her day.
Try an explicit compliment, too. It doesn’t have to be X-rated—just direct. Call out something specific about her: For example, “I love your right ear”—or “tight rear.”
