What Happened to the Zone8 Duo Kelus and Kerich, Fans Ask

Published

By Tuhairwe Joab

Like any other people or any other music group, there is s a good day and a bad one. Good season and a bad season and this seems to have caught up with the fast rising group of 2010 called Zone 8 that comprised mainly of artistes/musicians Kerich and Kelus.

The duo is known for their fantastic rebranded song “owomukwano” a song that was rumored to originate from “I wanna know” song, a western hit of early 90s. The above song kept the two on charts for over 2 years and they were able to release more songs to support it however for a while now, the group has been quite silent and this has forced their fans to ask where they could be.

Brian, a concerned fella was overheard asking his friends where the two had disappeared to and as soon as this started, the conversation escalated into a serious argument that rotated around groups that have shone and gone into oblivion at a snap of a finger. The conversation lasted for over an hour at Centenary Park where these chaps were having a drink up.

However, when one of the two members of the group was reached on phone, he confirmed to me that they have not relaxed but working tooth and nail to release a couple of hits before the end of this year.

“We are planning and this entire break was for us to plan for the better,” said Kelus.

Published

By Staff Writer

Over the week, a video of Salvado’s standup performance went viral. It was one of his most creative jokes to-date about different airlines and their themes.

On one of the jokes about Rwanda Air, genocide was mentioned as one of the topics air hostesses can’t miss.

Now Rwandans have picked that up and taken offence. They have given Salvado an ultimatum to apologize. But he is not about to allow.

On his Twitter profile, he says those offended are missing the humour. The Rwandans insist the 1994 Genocide against the tutsi is not something to joke about.
