Athletics coach, Peter Wemali has refused to undergo a DNA test to confirm whether he is the father to four children with underage girls that are also accusing him of defiling and impregnating them.
It should be remembered that Wemali was accused of sexually harassing female athletes during last year’s Africa Cross-country Championships training camp in Bukwo and is being charged with aggravated defilement.
The development followed three under-age national runners who accused him of defiling them and also infected them with HIV, a virus that causes Aids. The trio has now been joined by other three girls who are also accusing Wemali of defiling and fathering children with them.
The former athletics coach has however refused to undergo DNA tests to confirm whether he is the father to the four children in question.
“We got a court order but he refused to do the tests. We have additionally charged him for disobedience of lawful orders. We are submitting the fresh charges to court on today (Tuesday),” Ruhweza, the RPC Sebei Region revealed to the Daily Monitor.
