Weasel and King Saha perform

Last week, Coke Studio took viewers down memory lane in an episode that paid tribute to fallen Uganda singer and one-half of the Goodlyf duo Mowzey Radio, who passed away in February 2018.

During the episode, different Coke Studio producers, sound engineers and artists including Ykee Benda, Sheebah and Rema Namakula shared their experience working with the talented duo back in 2016.

As part of the tribute, 2019 representative King Saha teams up with Yared from Ethiopia and surprise artist Weasel to do a track produced by Ugandan producer Andre. King Saha’s unique raspy voice adds a similar sound that befits tribute to an artist that changed the face of Ugandan music.

Also in the episode, Saha strikes a remarkable chemistry full of energy and love as he collaborates with Yared on a fresh track.

According to Saha, “Working with Yared was so much fun! I really loved his melodies and picked up a lot from him,” adding on his experience on the show, “I am grateful to Coke Studio Africa for giving us an opportunity, not everyone makes it here. It’s a good chance to represent and share our music with the rest of Africa and the world. It is a super star experience! The impact of the show in Uganda is felt every year and I hope to make it back here to create great music again.”
