Weasel Manizo, real name Seguya Douglas, has dragged Promoter Nobat, real name Twizire Nobat, to court over an alleged breach of contract.
The legal dispute revolves around a business agreement the two entered into for the “I Love Weasel Live Stream” concert, initially scheduled for August 9, 2024, but later rescheduled to August 2, 2024, at Hotel Africana.
According to court documents accessed by BigEye.ug, Promoter Nobat was contracted to host, manage, and organize the concert, also dubbed “Memories of Goodlyfe.”
As part of the agreement, Nobat was supposed to pay Weasel UGX 40 million in three installments: an initial UGX 10 million in cash, another UGX 10 million two weeks before the concert, and a final installment of UGX 20 million due on August 12, 2024.

However, Weasel’s legal team claims that Nobat only paid the first installment and failed to settle the remaining UGX 30 million. Furthermore, it is alleged that Nobat breached the contract by failing to deposit 50% of the proceeds from sponsorships and table sales into Weasel’s bank account as stipulated under paragraph D (5) of their agreement.
In light of these violations, Weasel is now demanding that Nobat pay the outstanding UGX 30 million, as well as 50% of the sponsorship and table sale revenues or provide strict accountability for the funds.
Additionally, Weasel is seeking UGX 10 million in legal fees. Nobat has been given a seven-day window to comply with the demands.
