It was a remarkable win yesterday as Uganda’s representatives at this year’s CECAFA Kagame Cup, KCCA FC eased past Al Shandy by 3-0 in the second last game of the quarter finals.
Goals from Joseph Ochaya, Mutyaba Muzamiru (penalty) and Tom Masiko were enough to send Sudanese side Al Shandy packing as KCCA made it to the semi-finals.
They now prepare to face off with Tanzanian side Azam FC tomorrow afternoon and preparations for the game are already in progress.
“We are playing Azam in our next game, so we will not have a lot of time to rest. We will do our usual training which will help them regenerate and look at several other specifics,” assistant coach Ssimbwa Sam remarked.
The two sides already met in the group stages but Azam had no kind words for KCCA as they condemned them to a 1-0 defeat in their Group C opener at the tournament.
Azam Football Club are under the charges of Stewart Hall (England international) who is deputized by George ‘Best’ Nsimbe, a former tutor at the Kasasiro Boys.
