While many fans think all hope is lost for Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC), senior defender in the names of Ronnie Kisekka thinks otherwise about defending the Uganda Premier League (UPL) title.
Following a winless run of two games in the league, outraged KCCA fans highly doubt head coach Abdallah Mubiru can guide them to retaining the title. KCCA were held to a one-all draw by Kawempe based side Bright Stars last week before losing by 2-1 to Sadolin Paints on Tuesday 17th March.
Despite now lagging 7 points behind table leaders Vipers, Kisekka believes they can bounce back and even win the league title.
“It’s a just a blip which happens to any team but we’ll bounce back. We’re not getting results at the moment but we’ve to keep our heads high,” Kisekka told the club’s official website.
“We are not in a position where we want to be but we’re still in the title race. All we have to do is regain our winning touch and also ensure we beat our close competitors SC Villa and Vipers who we will host at home,” he added.
